This step-by-step guide provides introductions about how to use Xilisoft Mobile Phone Manager, connect your phone to the PC, and start using Xilisoft Mobile Phone Manager application. Now, follow the steps below to control your phone on PC.
User login
To do this:
Start Xilisoft Mobile Phone Manager, the User Login window appears. Choose your user name from Username drop-down list and enter your password in Password textbox, and click OK button to log in Xilisoft Mobile Phone Manager.
Tips:
- You can check Remember for quick login next time.
- To delete an account, select the account from Username drop-down list and click the Delete Account button on the right to open Delete Account window. Choose Only delete from the list option and click OK button to only delete the account from the account list. If you choose Delete this account from the list and also delete its local data option, you need to enter the password to continue.
- For the first time to use Xilisoft Mobile Phone Manager, you need to click New Account button to create a new account first. To check more details about account creation, please refer to "How to create a new account?".

Backup device data
Xilisoft Mobile Phone Manager makes it easy to backup your phone data as well as local data to your computer.
To do this:
- In the left tree list of the main window, click a phone or local node you want to backup, then its statistic information is displayed in the right window.
- Click Backup data to PC icon in the bottom to open Data Backup window, and check the items to backup.
- If you do not want to backup to the default path, then click Change button to change the storage path and file name.
- Click OK to start the backup.
Tip:You can add a password for backup file to protect your data: check Enable box and enter a password in the textbox. This password is needed when restoring this file.

Restore device data
You can restore a backup file to any phones in the same model from which the backup was originally made, or import it to other phone models, or overwrite local data with the backup file.
To do this:
- In the left tree list of the main window, click a phone or local node you want to restore, then its statistic information is displayed in the right window.
- Click Restore data by the backup icon in the bottom to open Restore Data window, in which all the backup files are listed in the left list. Select a backup file, the program starts to resolve this file and lists all resolved data in the Data Index list on the right.
- Check the items you want to restore, and click OK button to start to restore data. After restore finished, click OK button.
Tips: If your backup file is encrypted with password, the program will remind you of entering the password.

Copy local data to phone
The program allows you to import local data to phone for the convenience of managing phone information.
To do this:
- Select Local node in the left tree list and click Copy local data to phone button at the bottom, the Data Copy window appears.
- In the Data Copy window, select one of the following conflict data solutions you want:
(1) Add New Record: not overwrite original data, but add new record data;
(2) Replace: replace original data;
(3) Skip: skip the same data and keep the original data;
(4) Manually set: not process conflict data when copying data, but process conflict data manually when copy finished.
- Click Next button to check the items you want to copy. You can adjust the settings of the following copy items:
(1) Messages copy settings: Copy range: The messages in the past 1 day, 3 days, 1 week, 2 weeks, 1 month, or all messages;
The folder to copy: Inbox, Outbox, Sent, Drafts, Trash.
(2) E-mail copy settings: Copy range: The mails in the past 1 day, 3 days, 1 week, 2 weeks, 1 month, or all E-mails;
Include Attach: This option is checked by default. The included attachment size limits to 25MB by default, and you can change it as required;
The folder to copy: Inbox, Outbox, Sent, Drafts, Trash.
(3) Calendar copy settings: Copy range: The calendars in the past 2 weeks, 1 month, 3 months, 6 months, or all calendars.
(4) Tasks copy settings: Copy range: The calendars in the past 2 weeks, 1 month, 3 months, 6 months, or all tasks.
(5) Notes copy settings: Copy range: The calendars in the past 1 day, 3 days, 1 week, 2 weeks, or 1 month, or all notes; File size: limit to 25MB by default. You can change it as required.
- Click Start Copy button to start copying local data.
Tips:
- If there are multiple phones connected to your PC, the program will remind you of selecting the phone you want to copy data to.
- Copying data will overwrite the original data. Please backup phone data before copying in the case of losing original phone data.

Copy phone data to local
The program also enables you to copy phone data to local. Follow the steps below:
- Select a phone node in the left tree list, and click Copy phone data to local button at the bottom of the window to open Data Copy window.
- In the Data Copy window, select one of the following conflict data rules you want:
(1) Add New Record: not overwrite original data, but add new record data;
(2) Replace: replace original data;
(3) Skip: skip the same data and keep the original data;
(4) Manually set: not process conflict data when copying data, but process conflict data manually when copy finished.
- Click Next button to check the items you want to copy as required: Contacts, Messages, E-mail, Calendar, Tasks, Notes and Favorites.
Tip: You can adjust the settings of the copy items. For the details on the settings, please refer to the setting steps in the "Local data to phone".
- Click Start Copy button to start copying phone data to local.
Tip: Copying data will overwrite the original data. Please backup phone data before copying in the case of losing original phone data.

Copy data among phones
Xilisoft Mobile Phone Manager supports transferring data among different phones.
To do this:
- Select a phone node in the left tree list, and click Copy phone data to other phones button in the bottom of the window to open Phone data to other phones window.
- In the Phone data to other phones window, select a phone you want to copy to in the Copy Data to drop-down list.
- Click Next button and select one of the following conflict data rules:
(1) Add New Record: not overwrite original data, but add new record data;
(2) Replace: replace original data;
(3) Skip, no modification: skip the same data and keep the original data;
(4) Manually set: not process conflict data when copying data, but process conflict data manually when copy finished.
- Click Next button to check the items you want to copy as required: Contacts, Messages, E-mail, Calendar, Tasks, and Notes.

Synchronize data
Xilisoft Mobile Phone Manager also supports synchronizing data between local and phone, or between phone and phone.
To do this:
- Select a phone node in the tree list, and click Sync button at the bottom of the window to open Data Sync window.
Tip: You can click Sync button on the top right, and choose Mobile Phone, Local or Outlook from the drop-down list to open Data Sync window.
- In the Data Sync window, select one of the following conflict data rules:
(1) Local items replace phone items;
(2) Phone items replace local items;
(3) Skip, no modification: skip the same data and keep the original data;
(4) Manually set: not process conflict data when copying data, but process conflict data manually when copy finished.
- Click Next button, then the program starts to compare the data and displays all the data that can be synchronized in the list. Check the items you want to synchronize, and adjust the settings of the copy items:
(1) Messages sync settings: Sync range: The messages in the past 1 day, 3 days, 1 week, 2 weeks, 1 month, or all messages.
(2) E-mail sync settings: Sync range: The mails in the past 1 day, 3 days, 1 week, 2 weeks, 1 month, or all mails;
Include Attach: This option is checked by default. The included attachment size limits to 25MB by default, and you can change it as required.

- Click Start Sync button to start synchronizing data between phone and local.
Tips:
- You can click Stop button at any time when synchronizing data to cancel the synchronization.
- After sync finished, you can click Display Details button to see details for checking.
- If there exists conflict data, and you choose to process them manually, then click Set Conflict Data button to open Set Conflict Data window when sync finished. If you want to process the conflict data in batches, then check all the items you want to process, click Phone replace local or Local replace phone button to start synchronizing data. Otherwise, click Close not to process conflict data. If you want to process them in singles, and then select the item you want to process, click Manually set button to select Copy from left to right or Copy from right to left from the drop-down list, then click OK to start synchronizing data.

How to create a new account?
- Click New Account at the left bottom of User Login window to open Register New Account window and do the following settings:
(1) Enter your user name in the Username textbox.
(2) Enter a password for your account in the Password textbox.
(3) Re-enter your password in the Confirm textbox.
- Click Next to finish creating, and then click Login button to enter data system.

How to find and connect phone devices?
Click Actions > Add New Device option and open Connection Wizard window.
- Detect device: select an OS you want from Phone OS drop-down list, check USB cable or/and Bluetooth option, and click Next to view all the devices the program have found.
- Connect device: select the device you want to connect in the list of found devices, and click Next to connect the device.
Tips:
(1) One phone can be connected only in one way.
(2) If failed to connect, click View Reasons for checking.
(3) The Bluetooth Match window pops up when your mobile phone needs Bluetooth paired, you need to enter the password in the Bluetooth Code textbox, and also enter the password in the mobile phone.
- Connected: when the cell phone connection succeeded, the Connected successfully window appears. Click Finish button to open the main window of the program, you'll see all connected mobile phones are displayed in the left tree list.
Tips:
(1) To re-connect the device that is failed to connect, please double click the device to re-connect it in the list of found devices.
(2) To return to the found phones window, please click Back button.

How to synchronize Outlook data?
The program supports synchronizing local or phone data with Outlook data, please follow the steps below:
- In the left tree list, click Local or a phone node, then its statistic information is displayed in the right window.
- Click Sync button and choose Outlook from the drop-down list to open Data Sync window, then click Configuration file name to choose an Outlook configuration file in the drop-down list.
- Click Next to start connecting Outlook.
- Click Next and select one of the following conflict data rules:
(1) Local items replace Outlook items;
(2) Outlook items replace local items;
(3) Skip, no modification;
(4) Manually set.
- Click Next to start synchronizing Outlook data.

How to disconnect phone?
If you want to disconnect your mobile phone, please follow the ways below:
- Click a phone node, then click Disconnect button at the top right of the window to disconnect this phone.
- Right click a phone node you want to disconnect, and choose Disconnect device in the quick menu to disconnect it.
- Click Actions > Disconnect device to disconnect your mobile phone.
